ASSETT is pleased to announce two learning communities aimed at utilizing digital technologies to improve teaching and learning.

Fall 2014 Digital Learning Communities

 

DEADLINE TO APPLY: SEPTEMBER 5th, 2014

This track will provide the opportunity to work with faculty across disciplines to develop a common experience around exploring new teaching methods and integrating new technologies. We will investigate instructional design processes, learning theories, and new technologies as a group. You have the opportunity to design, implement, assess and reflect upon a new learning experience within one of your courses. This seminar is a partnership with ASSETT and University Libraries. All Arts and Sciences faculty and instructors are invited to apply.

 

DEADLINE TO APPLY: SEPTEMBER 5th, 2014

This track will focus on designing hybrid courses by facilitating a community around leveraging best-practice digital learning approaches and tools. We will apply instructional design principles and learning theory to effectively maximize the affordances and minimize the constraints of digital learning tools in hybrid courses. Participants will have the opportunity to fully design or redesign a hybrid course and develop evaluation strategies for iterative improvement. This seminar is sponsored by ASSETT. All Arts and Sciences faculty and instructors are invited to apply.
